Scale update & stuff/things that spring to mind...

Weight - 244Lbs (-26lbs)
Exercise - lunchtime walking (45 mins - @2.7miles).

It's been 2 weeks now since I have plateaued at around 245lbs (give or take) - this is clearly my first stage
plateau (this is the weight loss that can easily be achieved without increasing exercise to burn more calories). Basically, my body has grown used to my healthy eating and my metabolic rate is ensuring that my current weight is maintained (not helpful...).

So, tomorrow I am off to test the construction quality of the gait testing equipment at the Running Shop in the quest to get some running shoes.....hopefully I won't wreck the joint!

Historic moment coming up as this is the first time I have even bought anything remotely sporty with the intention of actually using it for it's intended purpose (excluding darts and pool cues)!

News just in, fat bloke buys running shoes....pictures at Eleven!

Can't wait to see your shoes. You know, someday we will be able to turn our weight loss blogs into fitness blogs!

I think you will love your new shoes as much as you will love using them. Good luck!

Jojo - you and the rest of my eager readership (lol!) will be the first to see them (expect a post mid morning UK time!!),

AB - I do hope so, the time is definitely right for this. I have never been more sure about anything in my life.

Thanks for the encouragement!

I know I do not have as much to lose as you but I got to tell you, you inspire me. Your blog is one of the reason i started my exercise class. I may have only lost 4 pounds in the last six weeks but I lost and I feel better, I breath better and I can move better. Good luck with the shoes. I HATE shoe shopping.
